Six G's

Hahaha, that won't work. I am a very solitary soul, my friends can't even find me. Oh, and I am only the Lord of Metal (not heavy metal) over the internet. Everywhere else, I am the The Guy Who No One Knows.

Jeez, you're just like Pyrus when he first came here. You are oblivious to your unmetalness. To be a metalhead you must be 12 and a half years old.

Which would mean that I am also not a metalhead. Damn. Oh well, *puts on Cannibal Corpse,* I can live with that. Dear invisible tyrant in the sky, this music BLOWS!! I wish I was 12 and a half so I could be a metalhead so I could listen to metal and not this shit.

It's just the fucking vocalist. "ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH AHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" I hate those type of vocals, there is just no emotion. Hell, that's why I hate Hate Eternal. I can sit in my chair and do that all day. Of course, I would have a sore throat, but still, I could do it without any emotion at all. Atleast bands such as Agalloch put emotion into their screaming vocals (or whatever you wish to call them). I want to be able to feel the music I listen to (no, that is not a sexual innuendo, you perverts), unless of course the music is just plain fun (Primal Fear). But I cannot just listen to noise.

Of course, by "ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH ARGH AHAHAHAHAHAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!" style vocals, I meant nonsensical vocals that sound like the guy is trying to cough up a hairball. You know, the vocals that most brutal death metal, gore metal, and grindcore vocalist use. I like a lot of bands that just have growling and screaming vocals, as I pointed out with the Agalloch statement (who are one of my favorite bands).

yeah i understand what you are saying, but i can stand some growling/screaming, but almost all of the bands i listen to have at least some emotional singing in it, especially opeth, my next favorite band... and i love Dimmu Borgir, the Bassist (who's stage name is cheesy, "Vortex") has a cool operatic style singing.
And yeah, i can't stand Hate Eternal usually... all the songs sound the same, no vocal variety... though sometimes really fast and heavy death metal can be just fun.

Yeah, Opeth are great. Dimmu is not bad either, not my favorite, but they are still decent. But if you want operatic vocals, the best band to go with is Therion. Of course, you probably already knew that.
