BLink 182 stated that their name was not related to the movie "Turk 182", saying "why would we name our band after a movie that sucks?"

At least Sum 41 recognizes the influences of metal (even though we may not hear it in their music), and well, they're Canadian, so I'll cut them a bit of slack

I went with Blink 182. Sum 41's music sucks, but at least they had Kerry King on their album. That's more than Blink can say. There's nothing punk about either of these bands though.. that's for god damn sure.

For me its Sum 41 all the way. Their drummer simply pisses me off with his "double kick" drum.
