:Smug: really?????
Nah they sound awesome. almost a bit TOO awesome.
But im all about blending them into a drum sound that i build from the kit first to fill in the gaps.

Exactly for that reason, they have this plastic characteristic that I'm not too fond of, I never use them on their own, easilly recognizable, almost like ezdrummer now (in terms of recognition)

And yeah my words were a bit too harsh  , they definitely do NOT suck, I just dont like them on their own, hence the "IMO"

Yeah I was really fond of the sound of Kick 10 for a while and totally replaced all my band's shit with it, then as the days passed its "stiffness", if you will, became more and more noticeable. Now I've become quite partial with downtuning it (which also goes better with our super low tunings) and blending it with the DW from Metal Foundry.

Here's where I'm at with it at the moment, but it needs tightening up in the low end I think, it's a bit flubby

Darkadian - One Foot Out The Grave

Just needs a bit of squishing I reckon, and perhaps some limiting? Tends to pop in and out of the mix a bit
