I personally haven't heard/found any plugin that works in the mix bus, true that I haven't tried real tape for ages and maybe I'm using it wrong but I still like it on some tracks better than the mix buss

Have you tried Cranesong Phoenix? A few guys here use it, and so does Andy Sneap. There's also the UAD tape emulations, McDSP Analog Channel and Waves MPX. Looking forward to trying out Slate's one (when it comes out).

Looks awesome. I'm really happy with Kramer MPX, but might try this one out, too. So far I've loved everything Slate Digital, with the exception of FG-X which I only thought was really good

Have you tried Cranesong Phoenix? A few guys here use it, and so does Andy Sneap. There's also the UAD tape emulations...

Those two are the only ones I haven't tried yet, I believe, and they seem to be quite good. I'll do some search on the Cranesong and the master buss saturation

Does anyone else ever envision a breaking bad-esque relationship between Steve and Fabrice? Like a Walt/Gus kinda vibe?

VCC-> "Future Slate Masterbus COMP"-> "Future Slate PULTEC EQ" ->"Slate Tape"

Or perhaps make a Master Bus VCC.

i won everything slate ever did, so i believe in him, hes 90% there...

Already has a compressor in the fg-x that can be used. My mixbus consists of vcc and ssl bus compressor. Been looking for a tape saturator. Note I said mix bus not master bus ;-)


I'm interested in that mpx plugin too?

Yeap, just said 'masterbus' 'cause in logic i use in a mix bus called master bus

Man, I am testing the MPX now, and it is GREAT.
The delay on vocals are just awesome.
Next to test UAD Studer.

good news.. altough i´m completly happy with VCC and UADs Studer 800, but surely slate will have some crazy upgrade/crosscrade deal when its get released!!

Phoenix is the bomb!
Jacob Hansen is using ac2.. Also a good plug in

Yeah, but in the VCC it looks a little like Jesse(Slate) and Walt(Fabrice):Spin:

Totally stoked for the release, and I don't loose the hope that the first release is nearly bug-free and the servers can handle the traffic
