Sleepytime Gorilla Museum is nuts.

NAD: Which album converted you?
Grand Opening and Closing, in particular Ablutions. I need to pick up their new one, since I've heard nothing but good things about it, and this one has a firm wedge of awesome kicked straight up my peehole.

Okay I got the new one now, only listened to it once.

This is one of those albums that I thought "pretty okay" upon said listen, but I know upon further inspection will grow to be something immense. There are some already very intense moments that will likely grow moreso when familiarity takes hold. This prospect excites me.

I still have yet to hear the new one, but I read one review that described it as the "Disco Volante" of their catalogue... meaning some will praise it as their best, and everyone else will just give up and ignore it :p

In Glorious Times is fantastic, but it doesn't beat Of Natural History, which I suspect will always be their best. I'd say In Glorious Times is better than Grand Opening & Closing, though, even though that one was also fantastic.

Nothing will ever top "The Donkey-Headed Adversary of Humanity Opens the Discussion", especially when combined with its intro "A Hymn to the Morning Star". In fact, I think this one is moving up into my top 10 all-time list as of now.

Oh, definitely.

the first two tracks are spectacular, and then follows "Phthisis", which is absolutely phenomenal, one of my favorite SGM tracks.

Okay, so I need the middle album it seems. Cool.
