found the spot (in song 4): at 1:33 the riff is jamming along, there's some background keys or something, then at 1:40 the riff really tightens up and kinda jumps out more. I know the keys/synth dropped out which quieted things up a bit, but it almost sounds like something else happens to the guitars and or drums but I can't tell what! levels? gating? medieval sorcery?
