Slow black metal (but still with a decent beat)

Alright, I have a confession to make. I like to put on some grim-as-fuck black metal every now and then, but I'm tired of the blastbeats. I want to hear some good slow-to-midpace BM without resorting to all that borderline-ambient junk. Who can point me in the right direction?

Bonus points if it's a band with an oldschool sound. Something like the slow parts in Darkthrone's "Kathaarian Life Code" would be fantastic.

Blood Ritual is also what you want.

Thanks all. Looks like I've got my work cut out for me.

kinda obvious, but mentioning it just in case.

Definitely not obvious in my case. I don't know shit about black metal. Obvious to me would be like Mayhem, Darkthrone or Emperor.

I second Samael's Ceremony of Opposites. Although it's quite streamlined and has more in common with heavy metal, but it's pretty rocking and you'll probably dig it.

Dawn Of Iron Blades is a great starting album from Rob's extensive discography, plus it's probably pretty exactly like what you want.
