Just had my face lifted clean off by the tone I got with the blend of these two mics.
Ribbons tend to be a little dark in the top end (or rolled off, more like) but this one extends a little higher than most. It's still not enough for it to do well on its own, so the 57 comes to the rescue there where you'd expect, with that big ol' upper mid/treble spike. The ribbon fills in the low mids and low end in general quite nicely, though I did have to EQ out some boxiness around 250hz, and again around 720hz.
This is a 50/50 blend so no mic is dominating here, both at the same volume, both aligned for phase about 1inch off the cloth of my 1960AV (v30 + t75, but only the v30 was mic'd here).
