Small EZdrummer test ( + some meshuggah riffs)...

Great guitar sound. If you raise the level of the bass some more, it'll sound even fatter.

What's the chain for the guitar?

Overall I gotta say that all the demos I heard of EZDrummer sounded very very good ...

Sounds a bit like an XT to me...I like the tone.

The drums sound cool. The snare could use a touch more compression...I'm starting to really like my snares squashed.

I like the kick, but it has a bit too much thud for me. A little more processing will do the trick though. I've been using the C4 on my kicks for a while with a combination of a high pass with a standard EQ. I just bypass all the bands instead of a band between about 125Hz and 700Hz, then I compress that band till the kick fits the mix.

I don't know why I do this, I don't think there's any real advantage using the C4 instead of a standard EQ. Lol! I think I was just trying to brush up on the operation of the C4 and just started to use it on EVERYTHING...I'm still a little weirded out about there not being a ratio control.

Oh, and maybe a small high shelf to give the kick a little more air....

What's your bass recording chain? I like the sound of the bass. I think the bass is at the perfect level IMO, more and it'll just be too much.

Awesome post man, thaks for the info. I'll try it out!!

that sounds great... :kickass:

but why do you need bottom end compression (C4) if you're taking a DI from the GT-8

any plans for a metal kit for EZ Dummer

how hard would it be to set up EZDrummer to then use Drumagog

Good tune. Great drums sound, especially a snare. Maybe you can share some info about EZdrummer sound processing in this tune? (spacing, dynamics, EQ)

Thx!

Thanks man!
The fun part of EZdrummer is, you don't have to tweak it that much! I just added some reverb to the snare and OH's and EQ'ed it just a bit. I did remove like 90% of the ambience in the mixer of EZ drummer.

Hej thanks for the comment man!
I don't know...I do everything by ear, when I feel like something is missing, I'll add the specific plugin.
I do try to make the sound as good as possible in the gt-8 itself, and mix it afterwards.
I'm surely going to buy the metal expansion for it!!
For the drumagog thing...I don't know man. I've use drumagog like once hehe..

what do you think?
I don't like the kick...workin on it.

I'm still working on the whole mixing process, so tips would be very appreciated!!

(btw...I just played something that I had in mind, I don;t think it's correct to the original)

Hallo daar,..(ff in het Nederlands! hehe) klinkt vet man!
