Small interface to track DI guitars

Lads,

my plans have changed and I am looking today for a small and simple interface to record DI guitars at home and maybe demo vocals in the future.

A instrument input with a High impedance is necessary. 1 MOhm or more.

So the Firebox looks nice. Anything else ?

id say firebox looks killer! my firepod works well. if your on mac, grab an apogee duet

I love my Onyx Satellite, especially because it has more than two outputs, which is a godsend for reamping - you can have the dry guitar going out only through like output 3, and monitor the reamped signal by itself through outputs 1 + 2.

If you're system is Mac-based, you'd be crazy not to get a Duet.

Not sure about the latency, though. I am using a pcmcia 1616m through a pcmcia to pci adapter and have no issues monitoring (5ms) a bunch of tracks with impulses and wagner mk2.

its a shame its Mac only...

I would love to have something that small and with those converters. Oh well...
