Played a gig last night, and someone had to borrow my snare, so I got to listen to it from the audience perspective and it sounded sweet, so I decided to take some samples.
Probly the first snare samples I've taken which aren't cloudy as FUCK from mic'ing too close. I think they sound really good (the top anyway), like the snare off 'Roundhouse Tapes'.
Top is a 57, sounds great, although somehow a fucking click bled its way into the track. No way were my headphones that loud. Pissed off about that.
Room is a PG81, 57 sounded better but I only had one. A garage so its really trashy.
Bottom is a Beta52 (only mic I had left), and the mic stand I was using sucked so it kept drooping. Use only as a last resort XD.

No idea whats going on with amount of noise there is.. new to me, and only on I think 2 of the 3 tracks. I was using a cable I've always used for the top :S.
