Snare Verb, Mono or Stereo?

Just curious what you guys do with the snare reverb.

Stereo verb or Mono Verb?

Me it's stereo verb.

Stereo. The space and width is the whole point for me (and probably most people on this board I'd guess).

You can do mono if you want - to thicken up the 'ring' of the snare, or whatever, it can be a bit like parallel compression. However I usually go stereo, if I use it at all.

I usually go with Stereo, but Mono can definatly work.. it keeps the snare in the middle..
AFAIK, Californication was completly mono except for the Toms and some guitarsolos..

Stereo if you want the snare to have width, mono if you want it to have depth. Depends on the song.

Generally have both stereo and mono verbs on the FX busses I'm sending to, really helps your ability control both perceived width and depth.

Definitely. A mono plate with a good size stereo room impulse blended in lightly is a great combination.

That technique works wonders on vocals as well - a good mono reverb on the main vocal is overlooked a lot for some reason, but I find it to work out wonderfully more often than not.

Usually stereo with artificial reverb. If I want more sustain or thickness in the center, I'll just bring my annihilated parallel snare track up in the mix. Or one of the 'ring' samples.
