He always seemed kinda arrogant, so no suprise at all. The man it´s so metal than cant take a joke!
He was always arrogant indeed - As soon as I saw this I remembered when we went to see MH in Zagreb in 2004, and my friends (who were working for the magazine) had to do a short interview with him... He refused to do it and said something like he doesn't have time for that kind of stuff (and it was more than obvious that wasn't the case). They interviewed Adam instead who was really a nice guy.

I really liked Machine Head back in the day, but he could have reacted way nicer

I agree, but watch some of the other acoustic show stuff

Im sure its a joke. He's an Epi/Gib endorser and never been anything but super cool whenever I've seen him around nor does anybody I know that's worked with him ever had anything negative to say.

I was about to post the exact same thing in different words ! I have yet to hear an acoustic set that is interesting, just as much as I have never enjoyed an orchestra version of an album. And that girl sounds so cute and props to her for taking it so well. What a douche, I didn't know he was like that.
I don't see what's wrong answering random questions, and they all know this is just a starter question for shits and giggles. We all know what we are gonna hear if someone asks the usual questions anyway :
Q "how was the album recording ?"
A "yeah it was pretty cool, we've spent X weeks at Y studio with Z producer, his work is amazing ! it was a long process but in the end we are proud of what we have recorded and trust me it's by far our best album to date"
Hahahaha, I thought about Mustaine too (he's obviously the usual suspect when it comes to ego issues)... guess Flynn won this round hands down!
Well, to be honest, I made this thread just to see how other people react to it... But it seems that most of us are on the same page here. As for the girl and her question - well if you can't recognize the good intention behind that joke (as well as her positive vibe that she carried all along), then you really must have serious issues with your ego. Continuing on what LaSedna said, artist should appreciate if someone puts an effort to make an interview a bit funny and interesting with unusual questions and/or simple jokes like that.

Yeah, seriously, it's a interview for Gibson on Gibson's youtube channel, why would they deliberately hurt his reputation.
