so does anyone like any hiphop here at all?

I'm pretty much the whitest kid in the world (as evidenced by my choices) but these albums have been in constant rotation for the past couple months. What other non-frightening rap am I missing?

RAEKWON - Cuban Linx 1
GHOSTFACE KILLAH - Supreme Clientele
REDMAN - Darkside
TRIBE CALLED QUEST - Low End Theory
AESOP ROCK - Labor Days
OUTKAST / BIG BOI
NAS - Illmatic
KANYE WEST - Late Registration
JAY-Z - Blueprint 1

I have about 30 rap albums in my collection but these seem to reign supreme. Can anyone tell me about the following: El-P, DOOM, The Roots, Dr. Octagon, Method Man & Redman, _________?

Also, I would throw the Beasties on here but I kinda see them more interesting from a sampling standpoint than as pure rappers (see also: Kanye).

Have you guys heard of Dälek? They opened for Tool on Monday night and were absolutely fucking horrible. 40 minutes of noise with some asshole spitting out whack rhymes yo

the video I was involved with filming last month

I've come to the conclusion that the only reason why I like some of this shit is for nostalgic reasons; back when I didn't know any better and I just followed suit along with everyone else. It's a completely useless genre and I find it hard to even call it "music." More like rhythmic rhyming....lemme see that sheet music for the latest hit rap song.

I mean, I appreciate some of the shit to an extent, as long as it's honest and all....but wtf.
