Friday I drove my friend/Anthrax video archiver Ryan to the wedding rehearsal he had to film. From there we hauled ass above the speed limit to Fort Wayne three hours away (but only two hours on our clocks because they don't do daylight savings time, but still the ride was three hours).
Saturday I filmed the Catholic wedding of the rehearsal the day before with Ryan and then filmed the reception for three hours (until 8:00). After that I met up with my girlfriend and we hauled ass to get to Cleveland. We got there in the middle of the first song, "Among the Living." On the way back home we stopped at a truck stop with a 24-hour Subway, where the guy working was blasting Vulgar Display of Power. He saw my Anthrax shirt, asked if I went to the show, then said he was mad he had to work because he wanted to go. I told him they'd be back. Not that I know that for sure, but I thought it sounded comforting.
Sunday I met up with my friend John (who drove separately to the Fort Wayne show) to go to the Cincy Priest/Anthrax show. And of course I met Rob Halford after the show, which was very cool. Fortunately, unlike the last time I saw Anthrax in Cincinnati, I did not hit a fucking deer on the way back.
