Thrashard
Whistler's father
mine doesn't like it either, she called it lame pop-crap and said that rock music was much better when she was young.
Yeah Attaq !!!! You're Disgusting!
And Joey had no vocals on either song...@ ironmaidenfan09: I wonder what's your stance on "I'm The Man" and the whole Anthrax / Public Enemy collabo.
That all happened while Joey was the singer and it sure wasn't "Thrash Metal".
And Joey had no vocals on either song...
You got a point.
But that still tells me that "the band" will do whatever they feel like doing musically, no matter who's the current frontman.
It just seems very unreasonable to me why John gets all the blame for the music they put out during his time.
And on the other hand Joey gets all the praise for influencing the band to put out only the greatest thrash metal we've ever got to hear from Anthrax.
As far as I know, Charlie is the driving force behind the songwriting and I assume the other "instrumentalists" also had their share in the process.
So, why does it always come down to Joey vs. John?
Why does no one ever go and say: "Hey Charlie and Scott ... You guys wrote some s**t-a** music during the 90s!!"
No, it has Catharsis on it. And Pieces. And some of you guys should take a listen to the Stealing From A Thief lyrics...Vol. 8 is garbage.

Granted, this is all no thrash metal, but come on guys: Slayer or Death Angel is thrash... Anthrax to me always lacked aggresiveness to be thrash. Maybe the Turbin record could be called thrash in my eyes, but that's it.

...typically because that's a given. Those shitty songs would've sounded sligthly less shitty if Joey had sang them because (1) Joey can sustain high notes that Bush can not, (2) Joey's voice leads to less downtuning, and (3) Joey's talent would've overcome some of the insipid emotionalist lyrics.
