Now I know a lot of people don't really care about Metallica anymore, but I was wondering who you think is going to wind up being the new 4-stringer for the band.

Me, personally, I think the longest running rumor is the best bet. Since the time Newsted left, everyubody's been saying Mike Inez from Alice in Chains will take over. So that's who I'm gonna place my betr on. Although, I think it would be pretty cool to see the return of Ron McGovney. Or, as one final kick in the ass to Dave Mustaine, David Ellefson:D

Fuck that Dave Mustaine said he was coming back. Fuck metalliass, rock on Megadeth!!!!
Did Dave's arm heal? Last I heard was that he was permanently injured. Not like his voice carried Megadeth...

I heard Mike Inez, but I hope that Nikki Sixx gets the job. :Puke:

Daves arm is healing. this is from www.megadeth.com

As for me, my arm is continuing to heal according to the Doctors projections and I have even been picking up the guitar every now and then. I am getting excited to start playing and writing again. Trust me, you’ll be hearing from me soon.

how fucking cool is that, kickass Dave, kickass!!!

What cracks me up is all the people that are so anti metallica and continually say theyre not important, and not worth discussing, and whatever the case may be...which in and of itself is totally fine, but as soon as the subject comes up, oh boy are they ready to talk!! I just find it ironic.

If you dont like it/them or dont think it's relevant, why are you posting on a thread about it? Wouldnt you be better served to move on to another topic that may actually interest you? Just an idea.

Personally, I think it'll prolly be Inez. I fucking hate Inez too. Hate his tone more than him, I guess. Never met the guy. But his live tone is abhorrent.

I'd love to see someone like Ellefson doing that-not for the obvious reasons, but for his playing style.

well I was curious who would be the next bass player and wondering if they tricked some good bassist from a metal band to join them.luckily it wasn't like that

That's a very generalized comment if you ask me. Most of the metal heads now hate metallica, and some of them don't care for the new music, but still respect them as a band (and i'm in that group) I don't care for Metallica's new music, but I still respect them and gave my opinion about the subject (read above)

:spin:

I liked earlier Metallica. Their new stuff is atrocious. But while I liked their earlier stuff, I have zero respect for any band that was so anti- MTV, anti radio, anti everything and now come out full force as hypocrites and arrogant bastards. Gene Simmons and Metallica are RIAA puppets and corporate rock assholes. For these reasons, I will never ever put a dime of money into any of these two bands music.

Metallica vs. Napster, Gene is now RIAA spokesperson. It reeks of bullshit to me.

How about that bald fucker from Presidents of the USA (you know, Peaches & Lump) He has only 2 strings on his bass according to their videos, and Metallica couldn't need more than that to suffice with their new material.
