I can't remember, and can't be bothered looking it up. Is there another album coming? Didn't he record a new one that didn't get released? Is he working on anything else at the moment? New Lurker of Chalice perhaps?

that's what i had thought, but i don't think we can trust anyone at this point. sigh

lesson to all black metallers: don't overdose.

From my personal dealings with Blake, I have no reason to believe the things said about him there are true. I know many people who have worked with him musically and through business, and no one has anything bad to say about him. He's a very friendly and open guy, and a lot of people want to work for him/be on his label. On the other hand, you never really hear anything positive about Moribund, do you? Especially following their issues with Malefic, and now this.

I fear the drug stuff about Wrest might be the case though. For someone with such a prolific recording history to suddenly stop for two years or so like that is very odd, record disputes or not. Also, from what I understand, there was never a true Lurker of Chalice thing in the works. It was most likely Leviathan material to be released under that name. The sample track out there does sound more like LoC than any other Leviathan material, though. If the resulting music from all of this is somewhere in between the bands, I won't mind.

Wrest was really on to something good with The Blind Wound. I hope it continues.

That's good to hear. Blake's response on that site comes across as pretty sincere to me, and reading it I have a gut feeling that his version of the way events unfolded is correct. I look forward to hearing the new album, but if this story is true (that Moribund used legal threats to keep the release for themselves, contrary to Wrest's own wishes) I certainly won't be buying it.

If only there was a site where you could get this album...

oh wait.
