I would say definitely Metal Sucks for starters. Their readers voted 'After' as their top album from last year. In fact one of their contributors even posted a blog entry asking for someone to bring him to the United States: http://www.metalsucks.net/2011/02/08/bring-ihsahn-to-the-u-s/

post a thread on Metal-Rules......let different mailorder companies who carry black metal know...maybe they can put up a post about it. Places like HellsHeadbangers. You may want to even take an ad out if there is a magainze / rundowns for the day for the Maryland Death Fest because there is your audience for Ishahn. Even see if anyone here is going and see if they can hang a few posters or something.

I posted about it over on metal_community on livejournal.com. Of course, most of my posts get ignored there BECAUSE I'm a prog/power metal fan. When I posted about While Heaven Wept another member actually asked me "So what kind of metal do they play? Since it's coming from you, I'm assuming they're some sort of power metal." *headdesk*

How often has Ihsahn played the U.S. or toured here? I'm thinking this isn't quite as exclusive as Arcturus would have been; i.e. that Ihsahn HAS actually played the States before (unlike Arcturus), but not too often......

I would say it's about equally exclusive. Ihahn has been here before but only with Emperor...not with his solo. Actually while he has played some shows in recent years, from what it sounds like he's very choosy globally where he plays.

Yeah, he's never played here with his solo project. Just Emperor, Peccatum, maybe one or two other bands.
MAYBE the ANUS board. But I don't really go there because everyone has such sandy vaginas it's ridiculous. You want to see metal elitism....go there.

I'd think places like the NWN board would just laugh at the idea of Ihsahn since he has nothing to do with the band Sarcofago, but probably worth a shot...
