So why didn't Chris Broderick play on WD's album?

I bet it has something to do with Chris joining Megadeth. Mustaine propably told Chris: "Look punk! If you`re gonna play in MY band you better stop messing around with other projects. There are dozens of other kids waiting for your spot and I got no problem substituting you with one of them. Remember that you`re also a substitutes substitutes substitutes substitutes substitute. I want your 110% concentration on MY band!!!"

Or maybe it was just because WD wanted a completely different sound from Nevermore and decided that one solo from one of the original members was enough.

I mean, he has Loomis...wouldn't Broderick just be overkill? It would then be half Nevermore.

Didn't Chris play the solo on "Let You Down"? Or was that cut from the final release of the album, or am I completely missing out on what you're discussing?
