Do you guys ever take requests?

If so...

Requests for GVR next Thurs...

Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Powerslave
Flight of Icarus

Do you have to have the keyboard player with you to perform Seventh Son?

I accidently almost edited your post instead of quoting it. Oops!!

Nili is a guitar player who plays with them from time to time when Nita can't. It seems they have songs that only Nili knows and some that only Nita knows. :)

Oh, OK. I didn't know that. Thanks for the explanation.

I've told 6 or 7 people about the band/show this week. Hope some of them make it. I'll be there again with the wife, who REALLY wants to hear 7th Son. And one of the friends I'm bringing wanted Powerslave. Oh well. They'll take whatever they get.

The band has a few girls who play the Dave Murray parts. We all know about 3 hours worth of different songs (aside from the basics like Trooper, etc.) It keeps the set lists fresh for fans! Hope you still had fun at the Vegas show!

Loved it. Brought a couple of friends and my hype about the band was confirmed for them.

Only issue was that the high end was killing our ears. Any screams or high notes on solos were painful. It wasn't like that the first night. Next time I'll bring ear protection. You have your own sound person?

Glad that the crowd was bigger this time and I enjoyed the one long set over two shorter ones. Loved Rime.

Setlist, not in order...

2 Minutes to Midnight
22 Acacia Avenue
Aces High
Back in the Village
Fear of the Dark

We don't have our own sound person; we use the house sound person. I heard from other folks that night that the sound was fantastic. Maybe it depended on where you were standing. :loco:

Sound was very good. Except on the screams and wails of any guitar solos. We were in the back right area. If you don't have your own sound person, it's a moot point. Next month, I'll move or bring protection.

For my ears!

Loving these shows.

Yeah, we're always at the mercy of the sound system/engineer wherever we play. Although the Ovation Room has top-notch of both--but I guess no place/system is perfect. :p

And I'm glad you clarified the protection was for your ears--cuz it could have referred to guns...or bodyguards...or condoms... LOL

See ya in November! :headbang:
