SOCCER NATION!

What happened today in the wonderful world of footy?

Well, Palmeiras showed once again why they are the most disgusting team in Brazil.

Played like shit, didn't accept the fact Santos made them look like amateurs, and tried to fix it by violence.

Santos is now in the final of the Paulista League. Corinthians and Sao Paulo play tomorrow, Corinthians will advance with a tie.

By the way, there's a player from Palmeiras is facing the possibility of going to jail for receiving a red card, then walking back into the field and assaulting one of Santos' players.

What was the crowd's reaction to all of this?

80% of the crowd was Palmeiras supporters. They all celebrated as Diego Souza, their player came back into the field and kicked Domingos (Santos' defender).

He was a hero to his crowd. Despicable attitude. They always do that. Palmeiras always finds a way to look tough. To most of them, if they can't beat the opponent in soccer, they'll try to beat them physically. And their supporters immediately become UFC fans instead of soccer. It's sad.

Hmmm... I wonder why all Man. U. fans are quiet here today...

Just like the 40.000 Sao Paulo fans that Corinthians made quiet today, at Sao Paulo's house.

I think its a joke that they didn't like the pitch, so they decided that they wouldn't try as hard (keep some players out) in the FA semi-final. Sir Alex should be fired for his lack of competitiveness.

I'll be honest with you, and please don't be offended by this, but I love old-time soccer just as I love old-time hockey, meaning the rougher the better. This is part of the reason I like Palmeiras so much. They are the roughest, toughest club team in Brazil! Hell yeah!:headbang::kickass::worship:

Man Utd needs to keep its players as healthy as possible so they can win the CL title as well as the EPL hardware! Kudos to Sir Alex. Good move, say I! That man can do no wrong in my eyes, for he IS my Knight in shining armor, after all.

Agreed, I love old time hockey and soccer as well. But there's a difference between being tough and rough and being plain old dirty. And you have to admit when you play like shit and accept the loss too...

Right, its the difference between playing a risky, tough game, and being malicious.

Liverpool 4-Arsenal 4.

Amazing game...Arseshavings scoring all 4 for the gunners.

Not looking good for the reds prem run unfortunately

So now they are tied in points, with Man U having 2 more games to play than Liverpool. I think that they are nearly out of it, but its tough to say. ManU could crumble. Its unfortunate. Be nice if Liverpool could finally win.

The only thing i think that will help us (liverpool) is the fact that ManU will have a congestion of games coming up. Hopefully Portsmouth and Spurs can do us a few favours in the next couple of days...maybe Crouch and Keane can help out their old club....and Arsenal can do them in the prem league and CL.

Man Utd will not crumble in the EPL this season! I also like our chances versus Arsenal in the CL. I'd much rather face them now than in the Final!

Never say never. Liverpool has been playing very well. They have as good a chance as Man U. in my opinion. I'm very curious to see how the season would end. Nothing would surprise me.

And I don't blame you for preferring to face Arsenal now than in the finals. Look at what Arshavin did yesterday against Liverpool. He played the game of his lifetime, and scored 4 goals. That game was for the ages. Better than Liverpool x Chelsea imo. Arsenal is really getting me excited. I honestly think they have clear chances of winning the CL and I'm really hoping they do. Too bad they're so behind on the EPL (4th place, 11 pt. difference).

Arshavin can't play in the CL games unfortunately for Arsenal. But they will be a better team with Adebayor and Van Persie when they get back.

You're right, I didn't think about that. No big deal, they have enough talent in the team regardless. I'm looking forward to the matches!!
