Soilwork - The Panic Broadcast

the point is that clearly the band has made a drastic change in style. same with in flames, children of bodom et al.

and the title sucks because it just seems so uninspired. it reminds me of 'soundtrack to your escape' or 'anthems of rebellion'.

of course this is entirely subjective, though. but, i mean, compared to an awesome title like 'steelbath suicide', this is just lame.

Looking forward to this man, ohhhhh shit.

So far:
1.The Chainheart Machine
2.A Predator's Portrait
3.Natural Born Chaos

rest:
Steelbath Suicide
Figure Number Five
Stabbing the Drama
Sworn to a Great Divide

Last album was horrible. Damn, one or two descent songs on it. Looking forward to the new one, great name and allright coverart. Samples sounds good also. Cant wait...

STAGD has shit production but every single song is better than everything on STD aside from Distance which kicks anus.

TCM kinda falls apart near the end for me, too. APP is awesome though.

So what you essentially said was that Breeding Thorns is better than Weapon of Vanity.

Get the fuck out.

Yeah, basically. I'm like the biggest Soilwork fanboi on this board, dude :p Not going anywhere. "Breeding Thorns" is not one of my favorite songs on the album, but "Your Beloved Scapegoat", "I, Vermin" and "As The Sleeper Awakes" all fucking kick ass.

I don't know what the fuck you're talking about, the only album they've had with poor production was the last one. I have never heard anyone complain about the sound of any of the others. I mean, christ, Devin Townsend produced Natural Born Chaos.

I'm only referring to the last two albums in the "5 year slump". There were some odd choices on both Stabbing and Sworn, with the latter being the obvious worst of all. I think Natural Born Chaos and Figure Number 5 sound great, they properly built off of what Predator established.

Ah, OK. I was confused there, seemed like you were saying that all those albums had bad production...missed the 5 year thing.
