Soilwork?

Hardcore? I'm not hearing it. Thier first albums aren't bad but the newer stuff just seems too processed and, like most of their peers, they seem to care more about widening their fanbase than doing anything new.

Depends which album. Old soilwork kicks ass imo. NBC is decent. And figure number five is lackluster. APP has some of my favorite chorus's of the band. Which album did you pick up if you don't mind my asking?

I used to like the newer stuff but I'm sick of it really. The Chainheart Machine, Steelbath Suicide and A Predators Portrait are all excellent albums but from then on it just gets more and more mediocre and their catchiness has become somewhat...pop-esque

Hardcore? hardly....

'Chainheart Machine' and 'A Predator's Portrait' are must-haves.

I concur, I would also say Natural Born Chaos is also worthy to look into

Figure Number Five has some hardcore stylings, but it's basically just an overly catchy easy-to-get-into passage to metal for people like me (because FNF got me into metal way back in April of last year).

Steelbath Suicide and Chainheart Machine are decent, Predators Portrait is mediocre as hell, and the rest is a full on mallcore rape assault. :erk:

I would hardly put it as idiotically as that, but yeah.

Wait, scratch that. SS sounds like a SOTS ripoff, and NBC is quite good.

I didn't like FNF because it seems to lack any sort of edge whatsoever.

My fave song is definitely Like The Average Stalker, although they have a lot of awesome solos(Follow the Hollow) and choruses(Needlefeast, APP). Their heavy songs were pretty complex as well(Bulletbeast).
