Has anyone seen this yet?? I can't wait for it to premiere here in DC this week. I know St. Anger sucks and all but I've been watching the trailer for this movie on the IFC channel and it seems pretty cool. Kind of insightful and you could only imagine what happens behind closed doors. I wonder if anyone from Anthrax is in it at all. I know Mustaine was.

I saw the movie and I must say its fukking awesome. It`s worth seeing cuz in that film you can see normal people facing normal problems, just like mine.
And this movie helps with understanding why StAnger is the way it is; at least for those who could not understand that record.

I cant wait to see it in 10 day and then in 20 days again.

There`s nobody from Anthrax in that movie. There`d be if John Bush had joined MetallicA back in 1984 But he said that Metallica is a storm in a glass of water

Scene with Dave Mustaine is IMHO one of the best in the whole movie. Actuially I saw SKOM for the 1st time right after reading his complaints regarding his appearance in the movie which sounded ridiciolous before the movie and afterwards even more.
Guys admited the thing that`s been obvious for everybody for past 20 years, I mean that he has a huge complex of James Hetfiled. If he did not talked that shit about betrayal and stuff he`d by a silent hero in that movie. But he`s not and the only one who`s guilty in that case is Dave Mustaine himself.

Why do people always say things like this? WE DID UNDERSTAND St Anger, we just thought it was a pile of fucking shite. Which it is. What is there to understand? They released a shoddy cd full of crap and claimed it was a return to the old days. Fuck them, they'll never get another fucking penny out of my pocket. The cunts.

A couple of days ago Metallica sent a letter to Gutek Film that distributes SKOM in PL - it`s not a letter that`s being sent to each country that shows SKOM; the band decides to write this letter only for Polsih fans bcuz Poland is the only EU country that planned the whole movie-tour across the country that will start this Fri and takes 18 cities. Then the movie will probably be available in the cinemas across the whole PL just like any regular movie.

Here`s the letter:

To all of our friends in Poland,

It was great to see you all again at our concert in May. As you may have heard, we've got a new movie out, called Some Kind of Monster. It's the story of the making of St. Anger, and everything that we went through while recording that album.

We're pleased that Gutek Film will be distributing Some Kind of Monster, and we hope that you go and see it. This is an extremely personal film, so we're happy to have the opportunity to share it with all of you. We've been truly moved by the reception the movie has received from audiences and critics around the world, and we're glad that you will now have the chance to experience the movie.

Thanks for supporting Metallica, and we hope to be back in Poland soon.
