Well, I was in a Thrash/Death metal but that seems to be coming to an end sadly. I have been offered a slot in a Traditional Metal/Hard Rock band, but it feels like I am bastardizing myself...Should I take the spot or not?

If you want to be a musician,you must take every spot you can. You will learn stuff and become a better musician if you play different styles u know ?

You could always take the spot in that band and also try starting another band that you're happier in music wise. Being in two bands isn't too hard.
