Song for you to mix!

*edit*

Removed mine because of too much static on the (lead) guitar, needs some rework. ;)

Here's my go at it. Other than the cymbals which I'm still working on, I think this is one of my best mixes tone wise. DI's were amazing!

schwinginbatman: Thanks man! Im using Snare 11a, it seems to fit the style really well I believe!

Brendan.Clace: What parts are you talking about that are off-time?

taylorshreds: Thanks man, glad you liked the DI's! I liked what you did with the beginning of the song (panning and eq automations)! Im just listening on headphones right but it seems like the kick is a little flabby, but other than that great mix! Love the grit of the bass as well.

Im almost done getting the stems for the other song ready I should have them up by tomorrow! Thanks again guys!

Awesome mix man! Thanks a lot about the DI's I was wondering how they would sound through a real amp, what all did you use for your mix?

Thanks :).

I used Revalver MKIII.V for my mix with Superior 2.0 and then triggered it all with multiple samples and edited the velocities.

I use the Redwirez mesa 4x12 impulses with a 6505 blended with a 3120 with 4 instances so there's 2 mics for each amp. So 4 amps per DI seems to be the best thing i've found to simulate the real thing. Would LOVE to use a real amp but with my current location I simply can't be blasting a 6505 lol.

Thanks tobin for the great song !!

I reamped the guitars thru a 6505, the lead thru a uberschall lead channel,
and the bass thru the uberschall clean channel. Drums are slate + superior.

I found it a bit difficult to get a perfect guitar tone,
so I hope I didn't make your song sound too strange !!!

EDIT : Link to first mix removed.

Heres a song I recently posted on here for you all to mix! Hope you enjoy!

Hi tobin,

I have few problem to remap drums for addictive and its hard to me to follow the original Mp3. Its possible to separate each part in single midi file with the correct name or just export each parts in .wav (only OH in stereo, the others in mono) with no effect on it?

Thanks ^^

What do you mean? Do you want separate tracks with the drums rendered instead of midi? Im not understanding what you are saying by its hard to follow the original mp3 :]

Firstly I just wanna say great jobs to everyone here so far, some really nice mixes up :)
And thanks to Tobin1 for uploading :)
My attempted mix.

Guitars:
EasyQ
TS Secret
Poulin Legion
Poulin Lecab

Drums:
Superior Drummer, Resampled kick and snare

Bass:
EQ, Compression.

Tbh I cant seem to get my mixes past sounding alot like this and Im not sure where im going wrong with it, The drums just dont sound..there, and the guitars never have any punch in their tone :/ (not just for this song but in general) :/ Any comments?

What drum program are you using? and it seems like the bass isnt compressed enough (sounds a bit flabby) Smash the bass and try to pull the kick up a little and it will be a lot more punchy!
