Songs currently kicking your ass.

Man, this song. Have you heard this @CiG? It's comparable to the material on the S/T but it just has this whole other vibe like a Blackened Heavy/Thrash. Some metal essence here.

Illusion of Life (1990)

Sound quality isn't as good as the CD rip I'm listening to.

@RadicalThrasher @Slayed Necros You guys might like the sound of this one.

Ah man, that would've been awesome. I've only known about Mortification since 2018 which is after Steve retired. I would've loved to see them play even though I'm way too young to have caught the classic line-up. With all these reunion tours, it would be a special treat if they could re-unite and play Scrolls in full for the 30th anniversary. I know Steve's health wouldn't allow it though.

Wonrowe Vision is still listed as active but they haven't done much recently and don't play the same music as Mortification. But Rowe productions is still operating as far as I know, however I'm not sure how much involvement he has in it these days.

Steve mentioned in a video in 2019 that he isn't making music. He'd had a stroke a few years before that that he had a difficult recovery from. Hopefully his health will continue to improve and he can do more of those things again (if so inclined), but I think he's continued to have a pretty rough go.

I haven't seen him since before the stroke but he's been sitting down on stage now for about 8-10 years, so playing live hasn't been easy for a while. At one stage he had about 20 bands on his label but I'm not sure how many of those still remain on the label or how any are even active. I was talking to a guy who is still mates with Steve a few weeks back but we didn't get around to talk about Steve and Mortification. Next time I see him I'll ask how Steve doing, he'd know better than wikipedia will :)
