Songwriting?!?

I've been writing a lot of new music lately with a "method" and getting shit done. I'm wondering how you all approach writing music maybe you have a routine you do, etc.

Below is a link to the first part of my song. I need criticisms, on the songwriting. NOT mixing or mastering as I have yet to really tamper with the mix

It's cool that you're starting a thread on songwriting. I liked it, but the drums in first couple bars could have a cool fill instead of a bare hihat count. Also, I hope that it just has a working title lol Good job overall, I liked how main riff and I'm sure it could sound crushing when mixing/mastering time comes.

Oh hey, thanks for the positive feedback. I've been listening to the song all day and I'm trying to HEAR what I need to do when mastering time comes.
