Hi, all. :heh: Time for something different! This sample set is more suited for anyone who may be doing vintage bop jazz styles that call for warm and resonant raw sounds in addition to metal. I sampled a 1980's era Phonic beech shell drum kit. Tom sizes were 10x8 high tom, 12x8 mid tom, and 14x14 floor tom. Recorded in 16bit, 44.1K stereo .WAV files, with left and right hand strokes. Mics used were Shure SM57 close mics panned naturally around the stereo spectrum; and as overheads, Neumann KM 84s in an x-y position as close as I could get to my head, to best approximate the sound the drummer hears from his perspective, and a Royer R-122 room mic. I also sampled the 18x14 kick using an AKG D112 with two samples to avoid machine-gunning. I feel I created nice variation and I'd love to hear any mixes you guys choose to use them in. Feedback is welcome. Hope you all enjoy and please let me know what you think.

If anyone is willing to make TCIs, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks so much for this great forum, I look forward to your comments.
