sontronics delta/sigma

Well, I own a sigma. Great mic for female vocals, acoustic guitar, cleans or slightly driven electric guitar. Haven't used it too much on hi-gain guitars yet, I need to experiment with that more (things got really boomy really fast, but that's years ago, might give it another try). But it is a mic with a distinct sound (because of the 15k roll-off) that doesn't fit every style. Josh Homme digging it comes as no surprise to me because of that. But blending it with a more agressive sounding mic might do the trick.

Only $900. I was expecting $1500-$2000.

I would imagine the roll offs on either end would benefit guitar sounds and I generally like ribbons on cabs, even my cheap as shit NADY ribbons.

nice one, cheers.

if you get the chance to make some clips comparing with other mics, that'd be amazing.

I'll see what I can do when I have some spare time (a rare thing these days). But I only have 3 mics, the Sigma, a SE Electronics T2 and an Electro Voice MC 150, so I won't be able to compare it to a more regular or well known mic. Is that a problem for you?
