It's the same for me, bands leaving a bunch of junk in the studio. Guitar strings on the floor is extremely common, and what pisses me off even more is when they stuff huge pizza boxes in the garbage can. Ok sure, it's a garbage can, it's supposed to hold the garbage, but what's the point in putting it there if that means that you can't fit ANYTHING ELSE in there after that?
Well, enough ranting. Signs are for public transport or public places if you ask me. The only times I really had problems with people not cleaning up after themselves is if I forgot or didn't bother to ask them to. And if you don't ask, they won't clean up, not a chance. Unless they're German...
