Ibanez RG550 (I think?) w/EMG's > Hughes & Kettner Triamp. Ridiculously dry and defined.

The Triamp can be really tight and dry, but believe me, there's alot due to the player, saw them a few months ago
and he sounded quite similar live and played through a dual recto afaik (if I've seen correctly he didn't use a boost...).
It was sick! Really digging their sound for this kind of stuff and they're really humble and nice guys!

Yeah, by the looks of things he uses thin strings and has amazing right hand control. Amps simply sound better without a boost if you get the right combination of elements going in, and if your technique is on form.

awesome... kinda reminds me of joe from pyscroptic's tone that he gets with his triaxis. dry amp + tight player is always a good combination for this type of music.
