why doesnt the band play anything more from these 2 cds live? i heard the legacy on the low tour, and souls of black is always a live mainstay. but why nothing more? these 2 cds kill.

Souls of Black was a hastened album and I don't think neither Chuck nor Eric think that any of the songs are that good. Also The Ritual was more Skolnick's thing than anything and the songs from that album really don't fit there with the new Testament stuff.

I think MacMoney is unfortunetly correct. I remember reading somewhere shortly after its release about how they felt about Souls.
I personally think and always have thought that Souls of Black is a very good record. Songs like Malpractice, Seven Days of May, Falling Fast, Love to Hate and Absence of Light were great.
They should really play atleast one song from this record but NOT that cheezy ballad or the boring title track.
Same goes for The Ritual, it had some pretty damn good songs on it, especially So Many Lies and Let Go of My World.
Unfortunetly when you have so many records its hard to hit everything. I really want to hear some stuff not heard in years on the next tour like COTLOD and BLESSED IN CONTEMPT.
Anyway,
regardless of what they play it will be killer to see Chuck and the boyz back on stage thrashing about!!!!!

i don't see why souls is not liked that much. i think it's a killer record, with some really intersting ideas and riffs on it. and alex's solos - WOW!!!!!

I know they used to play Malpractice, Falling Fast, & The Legacy.
Besides the Title track, on the Souls Of Black Tour. But that was ages ago.................................................................

Yep, thay was the last time they did those. Malpractice live was totally awesome! That was Feb 91, when they completely blew Slayer off the stage here in Boston!
That was one of the very best TestAmenT shows Ive ever seen. They came out just totally right in your face opening with Eerie Inhabitants and going directly into Raging Waters!!!!!
I think they knew being up against Slayer they needed to be as brutal as they could be! They also didnt play either of those wimpy ballads on that particular leg of the tour.
Slayer came out and lazilly played through 8 of 10 songs from Seasons and neglected to even touch upon the Hell Awaits album.
Booooooooooring!
It wasnt even close as to who the better band was that night.
I'm sure it was the same every night on that tour.
TestAmenT CRUSHED Slayer!!!!!
(and they could do it again too if given the opportunity)
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

They played The Legacy and Souls of BLack (the songs, not the entire albums, silly!)in 2000 in LA...(or was it late 99?) oh well!

They ruled and it was great to hear Testa pull off a ballad live...

I was a BIG Legacy fan and was hugely dissapointed by Souls of Black, Practice what you Preach and the Ritual... I'm glad they got their act together.
