I like them both. S and G were and still are very talented musicians.
The song versions are so different, i look at them as different songs sometimes.

Well,someone's opinion on Nevermore's cover of "The Sound of Silence"would vary,wouldn't it?If they say Nevermore ruined the song,they're obviously Simon&Garfunkel fans who've never even bothered to listen to Nevermore.If one thinks that the original was boring(as most ppl here do)then they're Nevermore fans-duh.Makes sense,don't it?

If it's a great band that's covering a song,then there;s ususally no need to compare the original and the cover versions because they should be equally great.
