Sound on Sound - Programming Realistic Drums

I had a quick browse today and don't think its worth getting really. Nothing I didn't already know and couldn't find out on here

it's not the full article.

"SOS locks most recent magazine web articles for 5 months after they go live on our site. Then we unlock most articles and make them publicly available — some remain locked and require an active subscription to read them online."

I mean I had a quick flick through the magazine in Tesco :p

Guilty as charged

I bought it. Useful for me a complete beginner. I could understand and have tried all of the suggestions already so it probably won't be of any use to the more experienced guys.
It's all about making more "human" drum tracks by simplifying busy loops, humanising timing and velocities etc. A lot of consumer soft drummer packages have these functions built in already I think.

I love this magazine it´s so full of stuf that even after three months I find myself discovering and reading through awesome articles and reviews I hadn´t noticed

I've had a subscription to Sound on Sound for four years now and always find interesting stuff within it's pages - I love the Mix Rescue and Studio SOS sections as I always find helpful information and love seeing what they do with peoples home and project studios. Mix Rescue is great to read regardless of the genre of music they may be covering because they tend to use different tools and plugins with each mix and you get to see a bunch of different methods to get some great results. Classic Tracks is another great section each month. I look forward to each issue and eagerly await it each month.
