Having been drilling Opeth's back catalogue with some pretty savage ferocity lately, especially getting into the old school progressive "warm" feeling of the first 2 albums (you know what I mean), I have fallen in love with the idea of obtaining a soundboard recording of an early show, most likely in an intimate pub or something, and I imagine the setlist would be something along the lines of:
Advent
Nectar
Under the Weeping Moon
In Mist She Was Standing
Black Rose Immortal
While it is highly unlikely that such a recording is in wide circulation, or even probably exists, I was hoping your kindness, coupled with your empathy towards a fellow Opeth fan and my polite, somewhat formal register in this post would direct me towards obtaining such a recording, if anything remotely like what I have described exists.
If no-one knows of anything like this, are there any commonly circulating shows from perhaps a little later (i.e. 1996-99?) that are of decent quality? I found a load of Opeth sets on a certain P2P network, but they're all festival shows (and therefore ridiculously short) from later dates (with a bit too much of BP-directed setlist for my liking) and/or of practically unlistenable quality.
Thanks for any help, and on a completely unrelated note, thank fucking Christ that the special edition of Watershed is being released on the same day as the normal edition!!
Peace and all that
