Soundtoys juice update.. ( its gunna be a while yet )

Just read this on their page.

Definitely a bummer to have to wait, but it's better that they nail it than rush out a product that isn't ready.

Decapitator is a must-have plug so I have high hopes for this.

I have high hopes for it as well, but I really don't think we need another one of these plug-ins. It's really a bit of a flavor of the last 12 months kind of thing. Slate VCC is doing the job well for me and I can't see myself dropping another $250 on another console emulation. I'd rather see Soundtoys do a really, really nice analog EQ emulation but with some of the character of decapitator in there. Imagine a emulation of a tube EQ with a drive and mix control :D

Something tells me this is going to fall in between VCC and Decapitator in terms of the subtlety of the effect - maybe more like McDSP AC1.

Definitely agree about the EQ plug - they should do a whole damn channel strip in conjunction with the Juice saturation modes.

If they do this in a way thats different from everything else on the market, it will be cool. What someone needs to do, is do something like VCC / Satson for a SSL4000-G and then model the EQ and Dynamics section like waves SSL. But do it with character, if you push it to hard make it react a little crazier than the real desk, maybe put a mix and drive control...
