Got a copy of this thing in the mail yesterday. Listened to it all day today. CRUSHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like Edguy's Electric Hellfire this is my kind of metal album!!! Seems like Nuclear Blast is on a roll lately! Dimmu Borgir, Edguy, Death Angel, Exodus...HELL! YOu would think it's 89 again!!! With all this great metal I could just about shit!

Never would have thought you to be a Dimmu Borgir fan, Ted. I checked out their last album, the music is pretty cool but then the vocals kick in and ruin it. :)

The Vocals aren't that bad. I like that record. In Flames have been taking it in the ass lately by "the fans" for their Korn sound. I myself don't hear it, but that's just me. Soundtrack is a "good" record, but I still like Clayman & Whoracle best, Reroute to Remain wasn't horrible either, but not as consistent.
 
I'm on the fence with this one which is why I haven't purchased it yet. I am a big fan of Whoracle, Colony, and The Jester Race and R2R really didn't do it for me and from what I've heard, this is in the same vein. I also disagree with the Korn references but maybe by that they mean commercialization.
 
Ooops. I thought Ted was talking about a comp cd or something. If I'm understanding this right now you're talking about an In Flames album? Plan13 has played me a couple thing by them but I didn't like them.
 
well I saw the video to "The Quiet Place" and in my opinion there's definitely a resemblance to Jonathan Davis, vocally as well as concerning hair (kind of lame to mention, I know). then again, I think already on Colony there were some vocal parts that were like that, too.

Sorry...I meant the new IN FLAMES disc "Soundtrack to your escape". I threw in those other bands names because they are all killer recent releases by Nuclear Blast....they have put out some fine albums lately...that's all....DIMMU BORGIR...I can honestly say I agree with you on them...Death Cult Armageddon is a great album MUSICALLY but I hate the damn vocals/lyrics. But I LOOOOOOOOOVE the music. It is so freakin' chunky. Brutal and chunky without being 1000mph...I am a sucker for that stuff.

JOHNNY D...yes! You should check it out since you and I share a love of Edguy. It's not like the Edguy "hymn" sound but somehow it's a great metal album in that sense. Great riffs!!!! You can listen to the WHOLE album. PLUS, your new picture scares the hell outta me. I call you SIR.

Seriously , what would be better with a post saying things like " in flames have no inspiration, they lack of interesting ideas, and their song structure is ridiculus, their musical ideas commercially simple in a bad way, bla bla bla" ? If my opinion about a band can be put in one sentence, so be it, further and with no use explanations are for retards who die to make "the most cool and supreme post ever"

that was a juvenile post, because it doesnt make sense at all (if you put some commas maybe it would)
and as i said , who cares if posts are of juvenile status, or phd status as long as their point is clear

also from my last post it is clear that i know that the point was not about in flames but about the "intelligence level of your post" but it was too juvenile for you
