Don't get it. Now as opposed to some others, I have something really imporant to ask of you guys, as I know of noone other to help me in this matter.
I am complete dork in chemistry but I am forced to take it anyway, and I have this kind of important lab planning to do for tomorrow, Just wondered if someone could help me out with the basic stuff of what I need to do here. (As I a sidenote I got someone's mark lowered by 20% for asking something, so I'm kinda treated like a leper in my nerdy chem class and they won't talk.) Ok, so to the actual question:
You will be given a sample of an unknown metal from either group 1 or 2. The metal reacts readily with water at room temperature. You are to design and carry out an experiment to investigate the product(s) of the reaction of this metal with water and determine the chemical formula of the man product by titration.

We'll, my chemical knowledge is pretty much limited to the things said in Fight Club, but other than that, I love how my chemistry book give examples of what-not-to-do's, like you shouldn't mix bleach and toilet bowl cleaners. Hehe.
Yah, there are some good lessons to be learned:
-Always wear gloves when working with HF. HF will seep through the pores in your skin and eat away at the calcium in your bones within 7 hours.
-Oxygen is what makes anything flammable. The ideal explosive mixture is about 70% oxygen and another compound. Hypothetically, if you had to choose to throw a match in a full gas tank or an empty gas tank, throw it in the full one. Not saying that is 100% safe though.

ok this is what i did today in chemistry class: I get the metal and I'm going to react it with water. So i pur some water into the test tube, and the the hwhole thing starts fizzing and the next thing I know the the shit gets hot as fuck and white stuff starts shooting out the damn tube, along with lots of gas! luckily noone's watching and I scrape all the white stuff from all over tables and flasks etc back into the tube and react it again
when everythings reacted and it's sort of cum coloured i pour it into the flask and class is over. Next time I'll start the titration.

i'm against abortion myself. at least in my country where the birth rate is too low. also its not in a christian level that i'm against it, its in a sense that i find it sick that they should throw what will become human in the fucking garbage. those who dont want their baby could leave him/her in an orphane place (?). and an orphan can live well, most of them do not regret being alive. also if in my country the laws to adopt an orphan of my country's nationality werent so strict these orphans would be adopted easilly. but of course its easier to adopt a vietnamese or zooloo kid in this dumbass society.

thing is, in the US, you have so many counts against you, since the social welfare baseline is so low, that if you are poor and find yourself with an unplanned pregnancy and have that baby, you are both guaranteed years and years of misery. i live in the goddamn ghetto. i work at a job for well above minimum wage but still can barely pay my bills - can't pay my own medical (thanks mom!), and have no hope of stability in my job, which is technically "temporary." if i were to somehow be expected to support my health during a pregnancy and then another person's life... i simply could not. there is just one practical reason. people who are not ready to be having a child should no be "stuck with it" because they got drunk and left out the condom one night, or whatever. then, of course, i have no moral qualms against throwing "what's going to become a human being" in the garbage can. a baby is supposed to be on purpose, something you can afford both psychologically and economically, something that you wanted, and preferably something you are doing with a partner and not by yourself. theres nothing special about a little barely developed tadpole poised in your abdomen waiting to ruin your life and continue the cycle of poverty and suffering.

but also you pointed out something else. people shouldnt be so god damn stupid and fuck without a condom or without taking the pill. these dumbass adolescants should learn that life isn't a joke, they should be taught that they can take a stupid pill the next day if they don't want to risk having a child.
and as i said, if the parents dont want to raise the baby, they should be given this right and the child can be sent to an orphanage or foster home.
and as i'm all for childbirth, the pregnant women should be taken care of by the state in terms of money to survive and guarantees to get their job back after.
