I have just recently purchased a Randall V-max amp with a tube preamp. I realized that the tube chanell was acting funny so i went on the net to see what the syptoms were and it is deffinetyl the tubes. I found the replacement tube type , but i also came across a tube company called Sovtec. They are of course made in Russia and are about 30 bones to buy. Does anyone have any idea how these things sound first hand? According to some of the research i have done they sound "dark".
