Hi guys,
I've bought a pair of KRK Rokit RP10 3s as replacement monitors.
Can someone tell me which speaker stands will fit these large monitors?

Dimensions (H x W x D): 21.2" (540mm) x 12.7" (325mm) x 14.3" (365mm)

I couldn't find any that weren't overpriced or shit. The argosy ones in the shop near me were 320 with the krk10s and they barely fit. To make things worse they didn't feel overly sturdy. I nearly tipped them when I gave em a love tap after the guy tried to assure me they were solid. He certainly ate his words with his heart in his mouth.

Instead I made these sand filled ones. Not too purty but they do the job. I filled them with sand and put in four support struts that I decoupled from the bottom and top with these rubber cutouts I made to go between the supports and bracket and the brackets and the top and bottom platforms.

I would suggest the DIY path, as well. It's easier that it looks, no worries about it.

amarshism, what did you use between the stands and the floor, and between speakers and stands? I don't really get what you did :s
I didn't have to use extra support btw, just used a larger pipe.

yeah I just made one of those ghetto sonotubes out of those cardboard concrete tube things you find at any hardware store. just seal them up, use sand and isolation. For the monitors I just used the aurolex MoPads to keep them on steady. Works like a charm, I use them in my studio and at work in the tv station.

Hey amarshism, how did you connect tubes with those wooden panels, I don't get it? A little 'how do speaker stands' tutorial could be fun :)

There were inserts that attached to the ends of the pvc with thread on them. Then screw on caps to fit. I just screwed the caps the the top and base and then attached them all.
