Spell of Annowree?

Forgive me if I misspelled that just now, I am going by memory from the lyrics off of the first album............

What is this a reference to? I looked around online for Annowree with that spelling and didn't find anything that seemed obvious.

Ed? Ted? Someone help me here......

According to Doug´s liner notes in the re-released special edition of ABOTW, it says that Annowree was a woman that King Arthur was tragically in love with.

Funny that there is no reference to Annowree or Anowree in any Arthur legend. Did Doug change the name a bit (poetic freedom)?
