The show was a lot of fun. As announced this was more like an event, so only three songs were played: Spinning, Cloud Constructor (for the first time, the entire song), and Insect.
Great to hear things are happening, and the photos look great! I mostly listen to fusion these days, so very keen to hear the new material when it comes out.
Not very partidary to see music as a competition between bands or genres.
But... They can beat anything or anybody in the fusion scene. Way ahead of the time with ASU, and maybe now with the new release. Everybody who's "in this" said in the moment, ASU was another form to think and elaborate music.
My 1st comment. Just wanted to say with other words (you guys have to read between lines) that I still BELIEVE in the band and this guys as individual musicians, as this is their official forum and we are talking in this thread about their first gig in 9 years and the best new possible in the list of the 2010 good news: new album.
Heh... Not like the commonly annual new album of Dream Theater, Madonna, Lynyrd Skynyrd or Justin Biebel.
SA 2nd album man; pure intrigue... *ants in the stomach*

i don't check the forum that often, (lets say once or twice a year ), and sorry for commenting so late, but wow, awesome, congrats on getting/playing the gig, i feel bad i couldn't make it. (stupid logistics, like the Atlantic ocean, etc).
anyway, so Gildas was able to fill in, thats cool, i know he's an ace musician, but there had to be, say, some tab or something he used to learn those songs? i have Spinning and Insect, but what about Cloud...? does a tab for Cloud exist? if so... well you know where im going with this.
