I think most people aren't voting on this thread because they either:

a. Have a lack of knowledge/experience with the two products and
b. Would recommend "shooting high" or sticking with your stock pres.

hm... damn...

i remember me using the track one ages ago and i really liked its sound for hiphop vocals (basically speaking voices). but when i see that unit today i think that it should have more capabilities to change the sound like variable hpf, more options in the eq section, adat in not only adat out...

this is why i'm thinking about the art voice channel, never used it before but it's specs seem to be that what i need. but i'm curious about the name though, voice channel, since i don't want to have a "voice only" channel strip, you know.... but i't got basically everything besides a variable hpf.

or is there any other pre incl. comp in the range of 400-600euro?!

i owned the ART pro channel for about 2 years till i upgraded about a month ago. used primarily for vox, sometimes bass (i prefer the joemeek OneQ for that), but never tried dry guitars on it. i liked it cuz it was fairly transparent and provided alot of features to shape my incoming signal (comp and tons of EQ options). between my shure 57/58 and 3 condensors mics, I was able to get a wide variety of tones for vox. the new voice channel looks next level, so i voted for that.

caveat: i've never used the track one, so i cant truly give you a fair opinion.
