Yes my friends, here's a little jem for you. The man the myth the legend - the ever so lovely Mikael Stanne was featured in SR P3's show "Frank" a few days a go as some of you might have heard. The good thing is that it's streamable on their site, here's a direct link; http://www.sr.se/p3/diverse/appdata/frank/sounds/frank2a.ram

And obviously, it's in swedish. They're talking briefly about Stanne and Dark Tranquillity's background and later on their listening to a few newer demo bands. The super warrior and axeman Stefan Elmgren from Hammerfall is also in the show, he's the one who speaks like a true fisherman from Bohuslän.

I've tried to list the demo bands that are rated so that you, if you're interested, can check them out some more;

and the last band is called "Demon Dog" but I haven't found any more about them than this; http://www.jamma.nu/artists/index.php?id=2285

when I choose "open" to start the streaming, absolutely nothing happens.
anyone who has the slightest idea why?

edit: and the title in the np was, believe it or not, unintentional :p

is there someone(swedish speaking) who has a LOT of time and is interested to tell us a little bit about what they talked and mikael answers?

They're on the show to listen to three demos that bands sent in, and to talk about their early days, Stanne vs. the Hammerfall guy that is. Mikael talks about how they started playing in their parents garage, and that they played so low because they couldn't disturb anyone, he didn't need a microphone to growl in when they rehearsed, that was a bit of a joke maybe. They borrowed money to rent instruments when they first started.. and he says about what mistakes they made, that they wrote way too long songs back then, and a little overpretentious lyrics to go with it. And he says that after the first demo, they got to make a single pretty quickly, and after that they got a record deal, so he thinks they got their first deal pretty easy.. :) He also mentions that they are very much writing songs in a democratic way, listening too eachothers opionions, changing it, etc, and that they sometimes do get into discussions about how things should be or not be done.

The Hammerfall guy isn't interesting anyway :p , but he's talking about how he started playing.. and how they write songs as well.

They liked the demos pretty much, of course they had opinions about what should be improved, redone etc.

Thanks for the translation, DT_2004!

Hell yes my friends, it's time for a bump here cause the man has been on the radio again. This time Stanne spoke about their first demo and compared the thoughts and plans they had back then to how life has turned out.

Again, it's obviously in swedish - but I hope atleast a few guys here will have some joy of it. I don't think it's uploaded just yet since the show just went off air but it will be online soon at: http://www.sr.se/p3/musikjournalen/

You can find it by clicking on "Onsdag" and listen to like, the last ten minutes.
