stefan86 listens to coldplay

Pfft... both Soilwork and In Flames are good bands. Just because everything after Clayman isn't the direction they should have went with their music doesn't mean that Jester Race/Whoracle/Colony/Clayman aren't great albums. Their newer albums aren't entirely worthless either. Although I have to admit I only listened to each of them once.

Soilwork - Great band.

Opeth - Blackwater park is, as a whole, one of the greatest metal albums ever in me humble opinion. Everything outside of Orchid and Ghost Reveries is really good.

I don't really understand why metal fans hone their particular tastes in music like a scat fetishist does over time, deciding the best color, smell, and texture of shit shat at the optimum angle for maximum shit coverage by the shitter. Why can't metal fans be more like the common street hooker, willing to embrace any homeless person with her sore-encrusted lips and gaping used-out orifices for the price of a truck stop coffee. Shame on you metal world for your specific and exacting tastes!

A sampling of albums in my collection that cast serious doubt on my metal street cred:

Cradle of Filth - Cruelty and the Beast
Fiona Apple - all albums
(hed) p.e. - s/t
Incubus - S.C.I.E.N.C.E.
cruelty is a really good cd.

<3 fiona apple sooo much.

i love the song "bartender" by hed. incubus has some really good songs, too.

i love orchid, mayh, and blackwater park. i haven't listened to deliverance in a while, couldn't get into it as much. even less with morningrise and someone sent me still life a looong time ago, but i lost it when the computer died one of its many times. i just haven't bothered to listen to anything post-damnation/deliverance

Proof of my complete lack of metalness:
