Hey all. Looking to upgrade my recording interface from my Line 6 Toneport UX1 to something that I can recording 2 mics at the same time on from my 1x12 cab (my Apex 210 ribbon and SM57) via USB.
I did a search and heard people noting the above Steinberg interface but not really any comments about the quality/stability of this unit. My local Long and McQuade music store guy tells me these are pretty good for the money. Note, I am just recording at home for personal family and friends, so I'm trying to keep the budget of $200 in perspective and still get the best recorded sound possible. Obviously, there are other factors involved to achieve the best sound but this unit sounds pretty good to my ears and does exactly what I need and it's around $100 CAD, which also sounds good to my ears! ;)

I know the Avid stuff is great but a little pricey for me.

Here's a link to the Steinberg CI1.

Anyone have any experience/thoughts on this interface?

TIA,

Geoff
