I only watched the first 10 minutes, but it far exceeded the level of awfulness that I was expecting. I'm glad they preserved some of the imagery on the opening, but jeez, have any of the people behind the thing ever heard of something called atmosphere?

King has had more than his fair share of awesomeness. Are you saying The Dark Tower sucks? Of course it doesn't, it rules! Shawshank Redemption, The Shining, Misery, etc.

King is about 75% great, but his 25% horrible is just really really bad.
