Just WOW! Awesome!

Now, this video also is a teaser of the "Imaginaerum" movie, even it still lacks CGI parts. Can't wait for another 6 months to see it the movie... sigh... taptaptap... symptoms of impatience... taptaptap... :Spin:

Kiitos Enigma; I posted this in the Imaginaerum thread too but we should probably have a separate thread for discussion of "Storytime". :)

I also posted these in the Imaginaerum thread; some folks at Nightwish forum who have received their "Storytime" CD-singles have been kind enough to post their scans of the back cover and lyric booklet. So for those of you who have been trying to guess the lyrics, you can now see how many of your guesses were correct. Enjoy!

Oh... well I just love the song, but for me, the video did nothing. So if the movie is anything like this video, then it's going to be a disppointment to me, like I was afraid it was going to be....
I've honestly never been into clowns, not even as a child... Thanks for posting the video, but this will be the last time I'll watch it, because I want to keep the feelings I have when I hear the song as far away from the feelings I get when I watch the video as possible..
I'm sorry to say that the video is a huge disappointment.

Yes, I found them annoying, I didn't find them scary! I don't either like the over-exaggerated expressions of Anette, I mean you really have to be convicing, otherwise it just looks silly. Some people can pull it off, but unfortunately she didn't.
I wished I liked the video, I really do, but this is the worst NW video I've ever seen.

If my memory serves, Tuomas told us in an interview that because they concentrate all resources and efforts on creating the movie, they haven't any "proper" videos planned for this album. It'd cost too much and would not make much sense to compete with the movie. He did say that they will release at least one proper movie trailer early next year, because one is needed for marketing purposes. That'll be the calling card for the production company when they start negotiating about the movie distribution contracts. Without a good trailer it'll be almost impossible to get any movie in theater distribution as there has to be some polished footage to show even if the final movie still remain in post-production.

I loved the song, and the video. I didn't take the clowns too serious...I mean..they were dancing lol.

This was the first time I thought to myself "Hmm...maybe Nightwish post-Tarja will be really good!"

I'm so excited for the new album, and I'm trying not to listen to this song too much, because I know I'll get sick of it.

It's so catchy :-)

The music sounds great, really electrifying. The vocals seemed to be buried in the mix. The video was annoying.

I have probably listened to the song like 100 times already, I'm not kidding! I think that this song is better than any song on DPP, it's up there with "Wishmaster"!

WhooooAaaaa let's not get crazy!!

It is NOT close to anything on Wishmaster. lol

It goes like this:

Everything Tarja did including her worst songs

THEN everything Annette does.

You guys realize the Storytime made it up on Sublime Directory, right? That's a friggin PORN site. Concentrating on Anette and the apple.

Taimi: O_________O

As for the video; even though I really don't like clowns and all that, I think it's their best video in terms of making videos. Let's be fair, Nightwish sucks at making music videos. But this one actually looks like an actual music video! :D

Completely forgot about the "Sleeping Sun" remake. I like the original song with the new video, just hate the new version of it.

I haven't heard the album yet (I know, what have I been doing?) so I've only heard Storytime. I really liked the lyrics for it, somebody somewhere said they thought the Storytime lyrics were the best Tuomas had written and I think they could be. I haven't had time to look at the rest of the lyrics yet for the album but I think people have put them up somewhere.

I love the way Storytime is a prologue for the movie, also I like the way the song is about a story taking you into the world of the imagination etc and the video shows the film being made, so it goes together. Its perfect and makes a great trailer for the movie. And "Storytime" is the perfect title for the first single because the album will be a movie/story and that's what's different about it as a project, so yeah perfect in every way.
